Nancy Williams, CEO and co-founder
As
the driving force behind HoneyLuna, Chief Executive Officer Nancy
Williams has successfully engineered the growth of a small upstart
business into a profitable online honeymoon registry company that
provides interactive, e-commerce services to a growing segment
of the market-couples who seek alternative registry options for
their wedding gifts.
Williams' success with HoneyLuna is the combination of a unique
idea with a niche market and a well-executed business plan. As
a passionate entrepreneur, savvy marketer and practical business
manager, Williams possesses the qualities that have helped HoneyLuna
achieve profitability within four years, more than double its
business every year, and secure investment capital to help expand
the company's online capabilities.
Previous work experience includes more than eight years in direct
management of retail operations as well as business management
and expansion. Two of those years were spent at Gap, Inc., managing
one of the retailer's top ten stores. Williams was directly responsible
for managing all aspects of store operations including overseeing
four assistant managers and up to 30 sales associates, implementing
marketing and sales plans, and carrying out customer service and
sales training programs to better educate the management team
and sales associates.
She also has previous experience in business and marketing management
for a highly successful Northern California insurance brokerage
firm. Williams oversaw broker and staff production and developed
and implemented successful business and marketing plans, direct
mail campaigns, research programs and test marketing sales campaigns
for both new prospects and existing clients.
Williams, who attended Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park,
California, is well traveled, contributing to her inside knowledge
and familiarity with the travel industry.
